Sewage Leak update

Thames Water have confirmed that the leak has been fixed and tankers have been called off. Whilst sewage was being tankered off Thames Water took the opportunity to service all the air valves, which are now all fully functioning.

There is still work happening but the 24/7 disruption of tankers back and forth to the pumping station on Meads Lane is now passed..

There remains a clean up phase for the sewage tank, plus removal of equipment, reinstatement and cleaning of roads, verges and the excavation site. This is aimed to be rectified in the forthcoming weeks..

Traffic management has been called off so the ‘ tanker lay-by’ on Marford Road has been removed.
