District election results
District councillor elections were held on Thursday 2 May 2019. Sandra Wood (Conservative) won the majority of the votes and therefore remains one of Wheathampstead’s District Councillors.
UPDATE – Buses through Wheathampstead – 304 and 357
From Sunday 21 April, Vale Travel have taken over the running of the 304 Sunday bus through Wheathampstead – the 304 (timetable here).
Arriva have also taken over the running of the 357 bus (previously numbered 657), which runs Monday to Saturday (timetable here).
European Parliamentary Election
Elections will be held on Thursday 23 May 2019. If you wish to register as a nominee, you must do so by Tuesday 7 May. Click here for nomination papers.
District Councillor elections
Elections for District Councillors will be held on Thursday 2 May 2019 in The Memorial Hall.
Parish Councillor elections
This year we have an uncontested election for Parish Councillors. This means that the twelve candidates who stood for election will automatically be elected on Thursday 2 May. This will include the current nine councillors, with the three new councillors commencing their roles on 7 May.
Band/musician wanted!
We are looking for an act to to kick off Picnic on the Meads on Saturday 13 July 2019, between 6pm-8pm (with necessary breaks included).

The theme for this year is ‘Music Through the Ages’! We are looking forward to seeing lots of you dressed up Elvis, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Freddie Mercury – better still, surprise us and come as someone we least expect!
