#MentalHealthAwarenessWeek 10-16 May 2021
Monday marks the start of Mental Health Awareness Week. Research shows that connecting with nature has the power to both prevent and aid recovery from poor mental health.
Local elections today, 6 May. Remember to cast your vote.
Voting for all Wheathampstead electors is in the Memorial Hall. To make arrangements Covid secure there is a one way system, but you will see directions. Just arrive, as usual, but with your mask and cast that vote. If you have a postal vote and forgot to post it off, follow the instructions, pop it in its envelopes and this can also be taken to one of the polling stations in the Memorial Hall.

But please don’t pick them. And take any rubbish away.
Uninvited guests have now left Butterfield

Butterfield Nature Reserve
Huge thanks to our Wheathampstead Open Space Volunteers for ‘seed’ planting the Butterfield chalk scarp with tiny plug plants. Hoping that the banks will soon re-naturalise and become a haven for insects and the like.
In the summer, thanks to s106 grant funding we will be installing a hard topped circular path making the nature reserve more accessible for everyone to enjoy
